About the Author
My name is Stephanie Fox, and I’m a mother to twin boys, Jordan and Brody, who have taught me more about emotional healing than any book or expert ever could. Our journey hasn’t been easy. We’ve experienced trauma, divorce, chronic constipation, encopresis, ADHD, emotional dysregulation, school struggles, social challenges, and bullying. There were moments we felt hopeless, lost, and felt as if we had nowhere to turn.
We thought we had tried everything, from therapy, medication, reward charts, diet changes, you name it we tried it. But the real transformation began when we turned inward. As parents, we realized we were part of the problem, and if we didn’t invest in changing ourselves, we could never give our children the support they truly needed. After a year of fully committing to self-improvement, my husband became a certified breathwork facilitator, and together we introduced our family to breathing practices that changed everything.
What we didn’t realize at first was that we, as parents, were dysregulated. Our nervous systems were in a constant state of stress, and our children could feel that. Without safe, regulated adults, their nervous systems had no place to land and no space to feel calm, connected, or safe.
Through breathwork and nervous system regulation, we began to heal ourselves first. We learned how to calm our own bodies, rewire our stress responses, and show up with the presence and steadiness that our kids needed. As we regulated ourselves, we watched our children begin to settle. Their nervous systems began to soften. They felt safer. They trusted more. They began to thrive.
This journey changed everything, not just for our children, but for us as a family.
These books were created from the tools and practices that helped us rebuild trust, find calm in the chaos, and create a home filled with more compassion, regulation, consistency and joy. I wrote this collection to provide other families what we didn’t always have: practical, simple support for navigating big feelings and big energy with love, presence and awareness.
I hope these stories and our videos offer your family the same gifts they gave ours: calm, connection, and the reminder that peace is always within reach, one breath, one moment, one feeling at a time.

Our Simple Mindful Holistic Approach
Our mindful approach helps children understand, accept, and move through their feelings, just like clouds passing in the sky. Feelings come and go, and with the right tools, we can learn to observe them, not be overwhelmed by them and accept them.
Each breathing practice pairs an emotion with a supportive pattern of breath designed to restore balance, calm the body, and release energy through movement. These simple techniques help children (and adults) reconnect with their bodies, process big emotions, and return to a sense of safety and calm.
On this page, you’ll find simple, easy-to-follow guidance for both kids and adults, showing how mindful movement and breath can help everyone feel grounded, in control, and at peace.
Why Emotional Regulation Matters
Emotional regulation is the ability to recognize, understand, and manage emotions in a healthy way. It helps us stay balanced, make thoughtful choices, and move through life’s challenges with calm and confidence.
When children struggle to regulate their emotions, those feelings can take control and impact how they see themselves, connect with others, and experience the world around them. That’s why learning these skills early is so important.
Our mindful approach helps children tune into their bodies and feelings, using the power of the breath to find calm and restore balance. By practicing together, parents and caregivers create a safe space for children to feel seen, accepted, and supported.
Through playful, engaging exercises, kids learn that emotions, like clouds, come and go. With breath as their tool, they can release tension, re-center, and return to a state of peace. Building these emotional-regulation skills early gives children a strong foundation to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
